I have been appointed as the Faculty of Engineering coordinator for the Hybrid Medical Research Engineering center. To date, as a technician, engineer, researcher and teacher, I have tended to do things according to my personal preferences. However from this point on I wish to make every effort to refocus my skills (development of assistive mechanisms) to directly assist medical staff in the meeting of “patients’ needs”, to develop medical instruments from the patient’s standpoint. I have recently had the opportunity to benefit from state-of-the-art medical care and as such I feel all the more passionate regarding the need for it. I am committed to developing Hybrid Medical - Engineering professionals here at Nagasaki University. Professionals who can contribute to the continuous development of state-of-the-art medical technology, and that this technology may be made readily available to patients’ who have need for such advanced medical assistance.
