Two aims of our program for Nurturing Global Leaders in Tropical and Emerging Communicable Diseases are to help those in industry, the private sector, universities and government understand the importance of the need to acquire and develop qualified personnel in the field of tropical and emerging communicable diseases, and to reorganize our masters and doctoral programs so that their levels meet international standards.
Through their overseas training, students will come to learn the role and responsibilities of the kind of personnel needed in our rapidly changing field. Students will have many opportunities to meet and talk with experts in policymaking, front-line disease control and research and development while overseas, and though our special lectures series, which invites specialists from all over the world. These interaction will help shape their future professional careers. In addition, we also provide career path support in cooperation with the Center for Industry, University and Government Cooperation Nagasaki University.
