Project overview

  The goal of this project is the training of general practitioners that are capable of examining elderly patients who suffer from various ailments, through the collaboration with various organizations and staff that understand and uninterruptedly practice a "Comprehensive Community Care System", and to develop a system that continuously produce physicians to study the various challenges associated with a super-aging society.

  As part of the Good Practice (GP) "New Paradigms - Establishing Centers for Fostering Medical Researchers of the future - Doctors for Communities(DOCS) - Fostering Research - Minded General Physicians" of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2013, the project aims to train outstanding research-minded general practitioners that are capable of practicing comprehensive community care system for the future super-aging society, through the collaboration with municipalities and local medical institutions, to build a future environment where people receive medical care without concerns.

  Within this GP, Nagasaki University aims to develop a system that continuously produce physicians who study the challenges associated with a super-aging society, and training of medical staff who understand and practice a comprehensive community care system in the future in collaboration with Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University, with the theme of "Innovative development of human resources for comprehensive community care".
